Our Vision

A Place To

Flourish

We envision a harmonious connection between architecture and the land. Our commitment to creating a safe haven is reflected in the meticulous care and attention given to every aspect of the development. Here, nature and community thrive together, ensuring a sustainable and nurturing environment for all.

The Plateau represents the newest chapter: a vision to restore and gently develop this land into a landscaped wilderness, where architecture “touches lightly” on the contours, and the bush is allowed to regenerate. Its purpose is not simply housing, but reconnection - to native land, to quiet, to natural beauty.

This is not a subdivision - but a Sanctuary. It is a re-visioning, a response, a legacy. A sanctuary for people to rest, reconnect with nature and community and to embrace a slower, more intentional way of living. Simply Elevated Living

Architecturally Designed Passive Homes

Energy Efficiency

The Passive House standard is an internationally recognized, science-based building standard focused on extreme energy efficiency and occupant health and comfort.  At the Plateau we are committed to following and engaging in the principles of passive home construction and design.

What are Passive Homes?

Fundamental to the energy efficiency of Passive Homes, the following five principles are central to Passive House design and construction:

  1. Super Insulated Envelopes

  2. Airtight Construction

  3. High-performance Glazing

  4. Thermal-bridge-free detailing

  5. Heat Recovery Ventilation.

In New Zealand the Superhome Movement is an strong example of these commitments.  Founded in 2015 it is a New Zealand Charitable Trust comprising industry participants nationwide, including architects, designers, engineers, builders, trades, suppliers and more.

The Superhome Movement is a group of like-minded professionals that have a shared purpose to help people live in better, healthier, more energy-efficient, and environmentally-friendly homes. The project team driving the development of the Plateau community is excited to support this ethos.
